How Can I Motivate Myself?

How Can I Motivate Myself?  Answer that question, and you’re well on your way to achieving the life you want. By fixing the things that are dragging you down, identifying your purpose, and setting goals, you’ll be able to set yourself up for more motivation in your life. If you minimize or eliminate the things that are dragging you down in life, find your true sources of joy by figuring out what you’re good at and what the world needs, and set goals to that end, you’ll be well on your way to becoming a more motivated person! In this video, CEO Paul Brown and Facilitator Kevin Patterson show you their three best strategies for getting fired up and staying motivated. If you aren’t sure why you’re not motivated, consider this 5-step checklist.

1. Do you have health problems that you need to address? Feeling unwell can sap your energy and motivation. If you’re always tired or feeling down for an extended period of time, make your first goal seeing your doctor.
2. Are you getting enough sleep, and are you sleeping well? Too little or too much sleep can drag you down.
3. Are you eating a healthy, nutritious diet? What you eat impacts how you feel. Are you exercising regularly?
4. A higher level of fitness gives you a higher level of energy. Are you connecting with other people in healthy, positive relationships? Whether you’re an extrovert or introvert, we all need to feel connected with others. (Also on iPhone) If any of these things are out of balance, they can impact your level of energy and motivation.

What brings you the most joy in life? What is one goal you could set that could really fire up your motivation?
